What inspires me outside of the visual arts and how it influences my work!

Queer Stories

I am a trans and queer artist so a big inspiration for me is telling our stories. I draw fan art of things like Our Flag Means Death and Severence. And I make paintings and mixed media pieces in my personal practice about the way being trans is like being a cycle of nature.

Fantasy and SciFi

A big inspiration for me is fantasy and sci-fi storytelling. I draw fan art of things like House of the Dragon and Yoda. This includes books, podcasts, tv and film. I also play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons. I have stories I create in this genre. My goal is to tell them through animation or comics.

Nature and Animals

Another huge inspiration for me is nature animals and plants. I love to create art of any part of the natural world. I paint in acrylic or draw digitally. I create acrylic paintings of commissioned pet portraits.
